At the Student Council Room
Chapter Three
written by Akira

>>student council room

Mitsuru: Hey. Welcome back, Himari.

Tomoko: Please don’t wander around, president. We have quite a lot of paperwork to attend to.

Himari: I’m back, my friends! I brought the transfer student everyone’s been talkin’ about!

Natsumi: Pardon me…

Mitsuru: Oh? Not bad, Himari. You always keep your promises.

Tomoko: Although you usually fail more than you succeed…

Mitsuru: Heeh, he really is a guy, huh? Feels weird having a guy in our school.

Whoops, I’m kinda late in saying this — I’m the student council vice-president, Yomo Mitsuru. Over there is our treasurer, Yuuki Tomoko.

Tomoko: Nice to meet you.

Himari: And I’m the student council presideeent! ! Tsurumi! Himari-chaaaaaan!!!

We have a few other members, too, but it doesn’t look like they’re here right now — hey, Micchi. What are the twins up to?

Mitsuru: I’d prefer if you did not call me ‘Micchi’. Hmm… those ladies are free to do as they please.

I don’t think they’ll try to summon demons or ghouls from within the bowels of the school once more, yes?

In any case.

If we’re finished with the self-introductions, let’s return to the issue at hand.

Himari, why did you bring these people in here and offer no explanation?

Tomoko, can you give us an explanation? If we left it to Himari, we’d be here all day.

Tomoko: Sigh…

Natsumi: (That girl’s Yuuki Tomoko, right? We’re in the same year, but in different classes, so I don’t really know her that well.)

(That’s right… She’s the vice-president of the Kendo Club, huh)

(Somehow, she seems kinda aloof.)

Tomoko: That’s right, it’s always annoying, having the President do whatever she wants.

Let’s wrap up all this extra work. I want to go to Kendo practice.

Ugh, I’m tired… Vice-president, can we have swords, or spears? At least a bamboo sword would feel pretty fancy

Himari: Hey, Micchi! Don't give Yukki any weapons, okay?

Mitsuru: I know that. I’d regret that for my whole life too.

Natsumi: (?)

Tomoko: Anyway.

I am sure we are all fully aware of this by now, but our school’s student council president, as you can plainly see, is an irritating, incompetent, and frustrating person, so—

Mitsuru: —To put it politely, Himari acts like, “I’ll become an amazing student council president!” and then ends up losing motivation, so she messes up a lot.

First of all, due to circumstances, Himari finds herself taking up the position of the previous student council president, who resigned halfway through.

She definitely wasn’t elected — it was halfway through the term, after all.

Tomoko: Therefore, due to Himari’s many mistakes, her popularity is not exactly sky-high. Many students believe she is not suited for the position.

—As a result, there is a motion to reselect a more suitable candidate for the position within this school.

Mitsuru: That’s the Student Council President Re-election.
