The Student Council's Deliberation
Chapter Four
written by Akira

>>student council room

Mitsuru: Of course, the Student Council President Re-election isn’t officially recognized by the school.

Only a portion of the students are excited for it to take place.

However, we respect the independence of the students within this school, so..

If we leave it like this — If we really go through with the Student Council President Re-electionHimari will lose her position as student council president.

Tomoko: Since the president is quite unpopular and a nuisance, if the election is held, she will certainly not win.

Mitsuru: That’s pretty sad, too Himari really does, with all her heart, want to be student council president.

I definitely agree with her basic stance,"Let’s make sure everyone has fun at school!"

I really want to cheer her on.

Himari: Anyways, since these are the circumstances —

Before that horrible Student Council President Re-election is held, I gotta take back my honor somehow!

For that, transfer student — no matter what it takes, I want you to work together with us!

Before this year, this was a girls’ school, so this is the first time we’ve had a boy student; everyone’s super interested in ya!

If you have such a high standing, people’ll naturally flock around you!

Tomoko: You’ll make great bait, so to speak.

Himari: That’s right! Of course, you’re a guy, so you’re scary! You’d make a lot of students anxious, too!

You’d be like my lackey! Uhh, wait, I mean… Well, whatever!

Wouldn’t it be cool to be ordered around like a minion?! Naturally, you gotta show your respect to me!

Then, my fame will skyrocket, and I’ll be cemented as the student council president!

Eventually, I’ll battle invaders, coming from outer space, seeking to take over the country!!!! I’ll go on to become the Earth’s savioooooorrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Tomoko: We’ll just ignore that second part. Well, she’s right, I suppose. That proposal might just be a huge bother to you, though.

Even if it’s just whenever you’re free, could you please keep the student council president occupied?

Himari: I’m counting on you! Come, be my lackey!

Tomoko: Can you stop talking, please?

Well then, I appreciate it — nice work today. ...Can I go to Kendo Club practice now?

Natsumi: (Ah, somehow… it feels like we’re getting into trouble here…)
