The Student Council’s Council of War
Chapter Ten
written by Akira

>>student council room

Himari: Uwaaahhh!! Your Majestyyyy!!! Her Majesty left!!!

Mitsuru: Please don’t wail like a puppy left behind by its master, Himari.

It’s not like Reika’s taking a break from school. You can go and see her anytime you want, yeah?

Himari: Maybe that’s true for you, since you’re in the same class as Her Majesty

Her Majesty is always surrounded by her entourage, so I can’t get close, y’knowww?

And besides, even though Her Majesty turned her position over to me, I’ve caused her problems with the Student Council President Re-election

How could I have the nerve to see Her Majesty? Until I fix everything

I’m sad, but I’m gonna cut myself off from Her Majestyyyyy!!!

If I keep letting myself get spoiled by Her Majesty, I’ll never become a magnificent student council president

Mitsuru: That sounds good in theory, but what are you planning to actually do? Maybe this isn’t something I should say, but

It won’t be so easy winning the Student Council President Re-election on your own, right?

How will you manage to counter those ladies?

Himari: Hmph. I’m still tossing this idea around, but — I do have something in mind.

Something really sad must’ve happened to Her Majesty to cause her to hand over the position of student council president to me.

I dunno the details about that kind of thing, but

Mitsuru: I know what it is, but I’m not sure it would be fair for me to tell you, hm?

Himari: Hmm. Don’t waste your time worryin’ needlessly. I get that the position you’re in is delicate, Micchi.

I feel like there was somethin’ Her Majesty couldn’t do as student council president, so she wanted to make me do it.

No — she probably expected that I could do it. That’s why I won’t try to imitate Her Majesty.

I’ll give becoming a magnificent student council president a shot, but in my own way.

A student council president that’s different from Her Majesty, that can do the things Her Majesty couldn’t.

Mitsuru: Yeah, I think that’s good. I’m sure Reika is hoping for the same thing.

It’s pretty late — let’s call it a night for now. I’m sorry for making you all stick around so long.

This might be a little out of line, but I’ll probably be helping Himari out from now on too, yeah?

Himari: Hmph! Whenever you have time, it’s fine. I want you to join forces with me!

As you can see, I’m a pretty useless student council president when compared to Her Majesty. But there’s something that couldn’t have happened during Her Majesty’s time.

I think that it’s creating a super fun school life with everyone, together.

For that, I’m asking you — lend me your powerrr!

This isn’t really much in the way of payment, but I’m giving you permission to go anywhere you want, as long as you’re in the school.

If there’s somethin’ that’s worrying ya, I’ll look around the school and investigate it for you.

If there’s anythin’ else that we can help with, I want ‘cha to leave it to the student counciiiilll!!!

Mitsuru: We hope for your support in the future too. You’re always welcome in the Kimisaki Student Council.
