Chapter 17

>>art room

Natsumi: Yahoo. Hey, what are you doing in the art room?

Himari: Yo, Minamin! You’re workin’ energetically at your club activities, I see! Very admirable, yeah! Your student council presideent will give you some ultra-praiseeee!

Natsumi: Hello, student council president. Looks like you’ve had your hands full, running here and there. You’re becoming a pretty hot topic around the school, you know?

Like, "the student council president has been running around and helping people."

Himari: Hmm! My favorability among the students has been steadily risiiing!

Natsumi: I'm rooting for you. You’ve been helping people in trouble and doing amazing things.

I really would like to help you as well, but the Art Club is in the middle of our home stretch in preparing for a contest.

As you can see, everyone is in a state of pandemonium, so I’d ask you not to bother them.

Himari: Hmm! The student council president is a girl who can read the atmospheree! If any of you need somethin’, we’ll go and buy it for you!

When Your Majesty was student council president, that was my main responsibility!

Natsumi: So you were an errand girl, essentially. I mean, I’m not really in trouble or anything —

Sumire-chan? Are you low on any art supplies?

Sumire: No, nothing in particular.

Once the paint has dried, I will just apply the leftover paint to finish up the painting.

As such, new, fun colors will be made, I’m sure. Therefore, I do not need anything for now.

Natsumi: Hmm. Sumire-chan, you really do have a great perspective on things.

Sumire: I am a beginner in respects to painting. As such, it allows me to think outside the box, so to speak.

Natsumi: Momo-chan, how about you~? Is everything okay with you~?

Momo: ~♪

Hehe, hee ♪ Drawing, drawing~♪ It’s so fun~♪

Natsumi: Oh, she's not listening. When Momo-chan’s drawing, she tunes out everything around her.

Himari: That girl crouched in the corner over there? Is she a member of this club, too? Not some lost little kid or something?

Natsumi: She’s wearing the school uniform, isn’t she? She’s one of our club members. Saeki Momo-chan, a 2nd year.

Himari: Hmm. Saeki Momo, huh — I heard every painting she makes is a work of art, but all I’m seein’ here is a little kid scribbling, yanno?

Wait, wh— ?! That’s amazing! What’s up with this?! How’d she manage to draw such a precise picture just sitting on the floor with crayons and construction paper!?

She’s even holding the crayons like a little kid! Are you sure that isn’t a photo?! It’s a drawing, right?!

Momo: Hmm?

Ah! You’re the student council’s errand girl, did you buy some crayons for me~? Tehehe ♪

Himari: I-I’m not an errand girl anymoreee! I’m the student council presideeeeeeent!

Anyways, are you sure everything’s all right? Crayons? Should we go buy you some crayons?

Momo: Hmm? Tehehe, with art supplies, I’m all right with whatever, though — huh? That person standing over there… a boy?

Natsumi: Yeah. I told you that a boy transferred to our class, remember?

Momo: Really~?

Tehehe, having a boy at our school feels kinda weird — I get the feeling like my creative impulse is flowing forth?

Hey, will you model for one of my drawings? You’re kind of like one of those plaster busts — what I mean by that is that your figure is totally standard and uninteresting, you know? Is that all right with you?

Go ahead and take everything off, including your pants.

Himari: Are you planning to take off anything else after his pants?!

B-But — That’s also assisting the student body. All right, Lackey-kun, strip!

Don’t worry, the student council presideeent will avert her eyes!

Sumire: W-What are you saying?! Have some shame!

Natsumi: Sumire-chan, your face is bright red. Oh, that’s right. Sumire-chan even puts clothes on the plaster busts we use for drawing before she starts painting.

You’re an aspiring doctor, aren’t you, Sumire-chan. I’m pretty sure you’ll have to get familiar with male bodies.

Yep. There’s no other way around it! It’s just common sense. I’ll go ahead and take off this much. Hah, hah.

Sumire: What are you saying, Minami-senpai?! Why are you so interested in this?

You too, Saeki-senpai? Your first time meeting a boy, and you just tell him, "Strip!" That’s insane!

Momo: Hmm~? Really? Well, I guess if we took his clothes off with force, his pose wouldn’t exactly be ‘natural’ anymore—

Well, for today, you can keep your clothes on. Stand over there, ‘kay? I’ll scribble it up real quick.

Tehehe, I’ve went through pretty much everything in this entire school to draw, so I’m really happy to find a new motif ~ ♪

Sumire: I-If that’s how it is! I’ll be heading home now! Goodbye!

Natsumi: Sumire-chan’s so pure-hearted.

Well, I’ll start drawing now. Don’t move. Haah, hah.

Momo: Drawing, drawing~♪ It’s so fun~♪ Tehehe ♪

Himari: (Our school has a bunch of weirdos, huh?)

(Still, we’re making school life for students fun and carefree — as the student council president, that makes me really happy ♪)
